Please keep in mind there are reasons, not all of them necessarily good, that these lodgings are so inexpensive & do your own research.
DO NOT make a reservation at the following - 31 Street Broadway Hotel, the Bowery Grand Hotel, & The Grand NYC Apartments. The reviews are frankly horrifying.
Chelsea International Hostel: Rates starting at $38 for shared rooms with a shared bathroom, up to $99 for private double bed with private bathroom.
HI New York City Hostel: Rates starting around $40 for shared rooms.
Nap NY: Features no contact bookings. Shared rooms from $40 to $103 depending on location. Private rooms for around $230.
NY Moore Hostel: Luxury hostel with shared rooms from $40 a night to private rooms around $120.
International Student Center Hostel: Starts around $70 for a shared room, and $170 for a private room for 2.
The Pod Hotel: *Very* small private rooms with en suite bathrooms starting at $76 for bunk beds or Queen beds to $176 & $252 for more spacious rooms.
Highbridge Hotel: Private rooms from around $90 a night.
Blue Angel Hotel: Private rooms from around $95 a night.
